We founded Moss Fertilizer Service in 1968 to serve farmers in our area. Since then, our company, Moss Fertilizer Service, has grown into a business of 15 employees with a growing distribution that serves the fertilizer, chemical, and seed needs of our customers.
HELP WANTED
Custom Applicator – Moss Fertilizer Service Inc (Twelve Mile, IN)
Moss Fertilizer Inc. is a family owned and operated Independent Ag Retailer. We service customers in Cass, Miami, Fulton, & Wabash counties. We currently have an open position for a Custom Applicator. Tasks will include supporting the agronomy program, accurately applying crop protection products and fertilizers as well maintaining ag equipment. Past application experience preferred but not required. CDL license preferred but not required. Must pass background checks and pre employment drug screen. Moss Fertilizer Service offers competitive pay and outstanding benefits. Compensation will be based on experience.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties Include:

Accurately apply agriculture chemicals based on recommendations from the Manager

Responsible for keeping field equipment clean and in safe operation condition
-
Ability to operate newer model Agco Rogator sprayer with Viper 4 monitor
-
Requires limited mixing, loading, and applicating pesticide & fertilizer
-
Commercial Applicator License preferred but we will help you attain any licenses necessary

Work with patrons in a courteous and professional manner
-
Lift & Load up to 75lbs packages of Crop Protection products, 1-2 hours per day
-
Work additional hours to meet seasonal business needs – April 1st – July 4th

Perform warehouse work to including driving loader, forklift, mechanics, and maintenance.
Basic Qualifications (required)

Must meet minimum age requirement (21)

High School Diploma or GED
-
CDL or the ability to obtain one

Ability to lift/carry up to 75 lbs

Must pass pre-employment drug screen

Must meet DOT and Company requirements

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
